Madelyn LaPointe

 Artist / Art Educator

My name is Madelyn and I am a 2024 graduate from Epic Charter Schools. I have had an interest in art for as long as I can remember. I started seriously working on my craft when I was around 10 and consider myself a self taught artist. I believe that "Art" can mean different things to different people and that finding the right tools can unleash the artist in everyone. To keep my creative spirit motivated, I have been working on creating jewelry for the past year. I was also a member of Top Hat Talent's competition dance team and loved expressing my creativity through dance. I an experienced in Chorography and look forward to exploring art, not only through different mediums, but also through movement.

Sarafina Byrd

 Artist /  Educator

Sarafina Byrd was introduced to jazz at an early age by her father. Although Sarafina had been performing music for a few years, it wasn’t until 2020, when Byrd released her first EP entitled “Divine Timing”, that she grew the confidence to perform on a consistent basis. Since then, Sarafina has been working to cultivate her sound and connect with her audience. She has been featured in the OK Gazette and the Oklahoman. Sarafina has performed on the main stage of the Plaza District Festival, at the Paseo Arts banquet, and at Norman Music Festival. Sarafina has also performed at Tower Theater and City Hall. Neo-soul with a kick of R&B/Jazz best describes her sound.
